The world of investing is changing, and many investors are realizing that they may need to also change their ways of investing to succeed.
42%: Investors moving to equity income investments, up from
six months ago
Although many investors are feeling stuck in place with their investments, others are ready to move on. BlackRock's semi-annual survey found that of those respondents who are making portfolio adjustments, about 42% are moving to equity income investments, up from 34% of investors 6 months prior. Overall, nearly 2/3 of investors agreed that they need to strengthen their understanding of options around investing for income. What's perhaps least surprising in today's low-yield, highly volatile market is that 64% of investors say investing for income has become "riskier" than it was 5 years ago. The world of investing is changing, and many investors are realizing that they may need to also change their ways of investing to succeed.
