Burglaries In Avon Lake, Police Investigate
The Avon Lake Police Department is hoping someone is able to provide information on a pair of burglaries that occurred April 8.
AVON LAKE, OH - Police are investigating a pair of burglaries that occurred April 8. The Avon Lake Police Department said the incidents were both reported late on Saturday.
Police say the first incident occurred at 688 Schiller Road. An elderly woman told officers that an unknown man kicked in her back door and come into her house. The woman saw the man and the man fled the premises.
The woman said the suspect was wearing dark clothing, possibly a black hooded sweatshirt, and was carrying a flashlight.

The second incident occurred at 419 Bounty. A resident there found their front door had been kicked in and jewelry was missing from the home. No one was home at the time of the incident.
Police say they believe the incidents are likely related based off the mode of entry and the time frame in which the incidents occurred.
