Burglars Break Into Condo In Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, OH — A condo on Bounty Way, in Avon Lake, was broken into by burglars. It's unclear what was taken, but dressers, cabinets, bedrooms and a home office were all in disarray.

The owners of the condo are currently out of town, and have been for some time, according to police records. The break-in was noticed by a neighbor who saw that a front gate was ajar. They investigated and found the front door was also unlocked.

The neighbor thought that was suspicious and contacted the owners. Police were then called to the scene.

The front door had actually been forced open, police said. Officers discovered that several dressers and cabinets had been rifled through inside the condo.

The condo owners were told of the burglary by police. Until they can return home, it's unclear what was taken.

Police re-secured the condo and the owners are arranging to have the front door repaired. Investigators believe the burglary could have occurred between October 27 and November 26.
