EMPTY BOWLS BY THE LAKE 2025
$25 donation for handcrafted bowl, unlimited soup, & entertainment
The preparations for the annual event are already underway. Students are creating pottery bowls. Restaurants will donate soup and bread. Guests will be invited on Saturday, October 18 to a simple meal of soup and bread served at ALHS from 11am- 2pm. In exchange for a $25 donation, a guests will sample all the soup they want and then keep their bowl as a reminder of all the ‘empty bowls’ in the world. (Children that accompany a $25 donor may participate in the event for a reduced donation of $5 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and under.
The reduced donation includes unlimited soup and bread, but not the bowl.) The event will include a silent auction (with Browns, Cavs, & Guardians tickets and so much more) and live entertainment provided by Avon Middle School’s Electric Orchestra and local musician Johnny Martens. All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank, CRS, and other local food pantries.
