Car Stolen From Apartment Complex: Avon Lake Police Blotter

A man's ex-girlfriend harassed him and his mother, a 17-year-old ran away from home, and more in this week's blotter.

AVON LAKE, OH - A man's ex-girlfriend and her father harassed him and his mother on Facebook and by cell phone, someone crafted a fake check and withdrew money from a man's account, and more in this week's blotter.

Theft, Sept. 25 - A resident on Evergreen Court reported that someone broke into his shed and stole several tools. The thief made off with the man's sonic crafter tool, wet diamond tile saw, Honda generator, Echo Blower, and more.

Juvenile Complaint, Sept. 28 - Parents on Brunswick Drive reported that their 17-year-old daughter told her parents she wasn't coming home and left. When the girl actually didn't return home, the parents contacted police. The girl has been entered into LEADS, the missing persons database.

Harassment, Sept. 28 - A 24-year-old man's ex-girlfriend and her father have been calling the man's house and harassing him and his mother. The man has blocked the ex and her family on Facebook and blocked their cell phone numbers.

Passing Bad Checks, Sept. 30 - A 54-year-old resident reported that someone made a phony check using his bank routing number and withdrew money from his account.

Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Oct. 4 - A resident reported his Gray 2014 Honda Accord stolen. The vehicle was last seen on Oct. 3 in a parking spot near his apartment at the Somerset Apartment, 194 Somerset Lane.

Theft, Oct. 4 - A suspect used counterfeit money to make two separate purchases at Domino's, 33382 Walker Rd.
