Cardiac Monitor Found In Avon Lake Parking Lot
Police worked hard to find the unit's owner and get it back to him.

AVON LAKE, OH — An officer on patrol found something he never expected sitting on the asphalt of a parking lot — a heart monitor. The unit was found near the Shopping Center, between Tailgators and The Dogg House.
Police posted a picture of the unit on Facebook and also called the manufacturer to try and locate the unit. Eventually, the man who lost his heart monitor came to the police department and picked up his unit.

Warrant Service, March 16 — An officer on patrol stopped a car on Electric Boulevard. The driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest with Bay Village and Westlake police departments. The man was taken into custody and transported to Bay Village Police.
Found Property, March 18 — A cardiac monitor was found in the parking lot of a shopping center by a police officer. Police called the number on the back of the unit and spoke with a Medicomp employee. That employee was able to look up who owned the unit. The patient was also contacted and told his unit was at the Avon Lake Police Department.

Traffic Complaint, March 18 — Police stopped a car on Moore Road for driving with fictitious plates. The driver also had a suspended license. The driver was arrested and the car was towed from the scene.
Unauthorized Use, March 21 — A woman came to the Avon Lake Police Department to report that her son had taken her car, without her permission, and then gotten into a car accident. The woman did not want to pursue charges, she needed the police report for insurance purposes.
