Cars Left Unlocked Get a Rummaging: Police Blotter

Pretty tame blotter this week, but a reminder to keep your vehicles locked overnight.

Once again, lock your cars

Three homeowners on Winners Circle and Horseshoe Way reported their cars had items taken from them or had been rummaged through. Two of the cars were unlocked. The incidents were reported on the morning of Sept. 22.

On Sept. 24, police were notified of possible gunshots near Edgewood Drive. Sounds were actually fireworks being shot off at 81 Edgewood Dr. A resident was advised on the fireworks’ law.

Police received one reports of deer being hit by a car and still alive on roadway, one report of a dead deer in a backyard and one report of a dog attacking a fawn.

That’s a Jamaica area code

A Green Jacket Court resident said David Wong of 876-440-0040 had called repeatedly telling the female resident he was with Publishers Clearinghouse and she had won a large sum of money and a car. The man told her the prize would be delivered by UPS on Sept. 24.
