Child Pornography Charges For Elyria Man: FBI
The man allegedly posed as a child to entice a 12-year-old girl to send him nude photos.

ELYRIA, OH — An Elyria man allegedly posed as a child to get a 12-year-old girl to send him nude photographs over the Internet, the Cleveland FBI said on Monday morning. The man reportedly threatened the girl to receive additional pornographic images.
Federal agents arrested Christopher Goodin, 33, on Wednesday after a search warrant was executed at his home. Investigators searched his cell phone and allegedly found nude and sexually explicit images of the 12-year-old in his photos section, according to a criminal complaint filed against Goodin. Other videos and images, including possible additional child pornography, were found on his cell phone, the FBI said. Agents are still examining whether or not the additional material qualifies as child pornography.
The federal complaint said that Goodin posed as a 12-year-old girl, under the screen name "Shorty853" and then began talking with his victim using the instant messenger Kik app. The victim eventually revealed to her mother what had happened, in August 2018, and Salt Lake City FBI agents searched the girl's phone.

Agents then reportedly identified the man posing as "Shorty853" as Goodin, the complaint said. The Elyria man allegedly admitted to using the screen name when confronted by law enforcement.
Goodin made his first appearance in federal court on October 10. He will appear again on Monday at 2 p.m. for a detention hearing.
