Cuyahoga County Under High Wind Warning
Wind gusts are expected to reach 60 mph, causing power outages and wiping out trees. The warning expires at 7 p.m.

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a High Wind Warning for Lorain County. The warning will go into effect at 10 a.m. this morning and is set to expire at 7 p.m. tonight. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are possible.
The NWS says there will be steady winds of 25 to 35 mph throughout the day with gusts pushing to 60 mph. Winds will begin to pickup in the morning and reach peak speeds Wednesday afternoon.
Strong winds can bring down power lines and trees. You'll want to charge any independent power sources you have, like generators, and make sure your flashlights have batteries or you have candles to spare. You may also want to check on any elderly neighbors you have if the power goes out.
