Driver Gets Stuck In Drive-Thru Of Avon Lake Dairy Queen

The driver had a suspended license and was eventually able to dislodge their vehicle from the drive-thru. Read on for more information.

AVON LAKE, OH - Delicious frozen treats are a special dessert during the winter months. It takes a brave soul to struggle against Northeast Ohio weather and still want a brain freeze, and one of those souls got stuck in the drive-thru of a local Dairy Queen. Read on for more information.

All Other Offense, Feb. 28 - Callers reported a dog barking for over 30 minutes near Country Club and Firestone Drive. Officers located the animal stuck in a creek of mud. They were able to pull the dog from the mud and took the pooch to Avon Lake Animal Hospital.

Breaking and Entering, Feb. 28 - Contractors told police that some of their tools were missing from a work site on English Turn. The team is working on a home on English Turn and had left their tools in the house. There was no sign of forced entry, but the house had been locked up on Feb. 27. The garage door to the house was unlocked on Feb. 28.

Traffic Complaint, Feb. 28 - A woman came to Avon Lake Police Station to report that her car was stuck in the drive-thru of Dairy Queen. Another woman was driving the car and police found the driver had been driving with a suspended license.

Found Property, March 1 - A woman came to the police station to hand over two BB guns, two shotguns, and one rifle. The guns belonged to her late husband and the woman no longer wanted them in the house. Police said they will destroy the items at a later date.

Fraud, March 1 - An Avon Lake man reported that someone used his AT&T account to purchase two iPhones.

Trespassing, March 2 - Two people waltzed into a York Street home without being invited in. Before police arrived, the duo allegedly fled the home. Police later located the accused unwelcome house guests. The matter is still under investigation.

Traffic Complaint, March 2 - An Avon Lake man's car was struck by another vehicle. Instead of stopping, the driver of the other vehicle fled, but not before the Avon Lake man got the license plate number. Police located the other driver and cited them.
