Drunken Driver Hits Tree In Avon Lake: Police
The driver of a pickup truck that had collided with a tree was arrested for driving drunk, police said.
AVON LAKE, OH — Police arrested a man for drunken driving after he crashed his pickup truck into a tree this month.
The crash happened Feb. 20, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Officers found the accident at Artsdale Drive, near Redwood Boulevard.
The driver, a 53-year-old man from Avon Lake, was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired. He was taken to Avon Lake Police Station, where he took a DUI test. The blood test said he was at .204, according to court records.

The driver was also cited for excessive BAC and reasonable control of a motor vehicle. His pickup truck was towed from the scene, police records said.

The man's case went to trial this week and his attorney entered a plea of not guilty to the various misdemeanor charges.
