Eagle Scout Builds Batting Cages For Avon Lake High
The batting cages will be open to the public and should be operational in the spring, the school district said.
AVON LAKE, OH β Avon Lake High's baseball and softball programs have new batting cages thanks to the enterprising efforts of local student Cody Houk.
The batting cages were Houk's final project to earn his Eagle Scout Award. He spearheaded the construction, with the funding help of the Avon Lake Athletic Boosters. The cages are located near the fields at the high school.
The cages will be open to the public, the school district said. The batting cages should be fully operational for this school year's spring season.
