East vs. West Catholic School Food Drive Benefits Those In Need in Two Counties
Friendly School Competition Works to Stamp Out Hunger

Holy Trinity School, 2610 Nagel Rd., Avon, has organized an East. vs. West Catholic School Food Drive to fill the local food banks.
This is the second year of the competition and it has grown to include six schools from the East - Corpus Christi Academy, Mater Dei Academy, Ss. Robert and William, St. Julie Billiart, St. Mary of the Assumption, All Saints and St. Francis. In addition these are the schools from the West who participated last year - St. Raphael, St. Mary Avon, St. Christopher, St. Peter North Ridgeville, St. Thomas Moore and Holy Trinity.
All of the schools are conducting a three week food drive sometime before April 13th. The winning school, with the highest average number of items collected per student will win a Canned Food Drive Trophy to display in their school until the challenge is repeated next year. Holy Trinity School kicked off its food drive on Friday, February 24th. Items collected at Holy Trinity will be given to the Lorain County Food Bank and distributed to other local organizations by Holy Trinity Parish and Chicks Against Hunger. This friendly competition will benefit those in need in two counties over the winter months.
