'Elf The Musical' Coming To Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, OH — Get ready for a dose of holiday joy. Avon Lake High School has announced its upcoming fall musical will be "Elf Jr. the Musical."

The show will make its debut December 5 at the Avon Lake Performing Arts Center, 175 Avon Belden Road. Pre-sale tickets are $5 and $7 on the day-of-the-show. Tickets can be purchased online through the Avon Lake High drama club.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on December 5, 6 and 7. A matinee show will be held at 2 p.m. on December 8.

"Elf Jr. the Musical" is based on the hit holiday film "Elf" starring Will Ferrell. The story follows orphaned elf Buddy as he reunited with his birth family, including his surly father, a publishing executive in New York City.

Buddy finds love, family and misadventure as he ventures into the often crass world of contemporary humans. But he also brings tidings of joy to his community.
