Elyria Man Shot By Police, Fought With Officers: Reports
The man reportedly threatened officers while holding a handgun. He was shot by police, but continued to fight while being arrested.

ELYRIA, OH — Elyria police shot and tasered a man while responding to a domestic disturbance call on Tuesday night. The man was reportedly threatening officers with a handgun, and continued to spar with police even after being shot.
Police were called to a Riverside Court apartment complex at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, WKYC reports. When they arrived they heard shouting and objects being thrown.
While trying to get a passkey into the apartment, a 27-year-old man with a handgun walked outside. He began threatening officers. The officers fired one shot at the suspect, WEWS reports.

Even after being shot, the man continued to resist arrest, fighting with officers. Police tasered the man to subdue him and then took him to a local hospital for treatment. His status is currently unknown.
Officers investigated the man's apartment and found no one else inside. No one else was hurt in the incident, police said.
