Escaped Inmate Caught In Lorain County
Charles F. Thompson got out of a transport van in Elyria while returning from a court appearance, law enforcement said.

ELYRIA, OH — Law enforcement have found a man that escaped sheriff's custody on Monday. Charles F. Thompson jumped out of a transport van while on his way back from a court appearance in Elyria, according to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office.
Thompson, 39, leaped out of the van near West River Road and Second Street a little before noon on Monday. He was seen running east on Second Street. Law enforcement found Thompson in Elyria at about 4 p.m. He has been charged with felony escape.
Thompson was not restrained in the van, according to Fox News. He has been returned to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office Correctional Facility.
