Fired Employee Brawls With Boss In Avon Lake
The terminated worker headbutted his boss and put a gash on his forehead.

AVON LAKE, OH — A work dispute got out of control last week when a man that had been fired attacked his former boss. The brawl led to a bloody headbutt that left a nasty gash on the boss' forehead.

Criminal Mischief, Sept. 21 — A Chelsea Ave. resident reported that a neighbor has been trespassing on their property. The resident told police the neighbor has been trespassing onto the property and then berating them for not keeping their yard prim.

Theft, Sept. 22 — A large number of pallets were stolen from a business on Pin Oak Parkway on Sept. 20. The business reported the theft on Sept. 22.
Property Damage, Sept. 24 — The driver of an Audi S8 had his vehicle damaged when branches broke off a tree and fell onto the hood of his car. The vehicle is a company car and the man contacted police to document the incident.

Fraud, Sept. 26 — Someone deposited a check into an Avon Lake man's bank account. That same person then withdrew money from the man's account. The resident was informed of these transactions later by his bank.
Suspicious Activity, Sept. 26 — A Chinese delivery person from a restaurant in Avon was accused of inappropriately touching an Avon Lake woman. Police are investigating the incident.
Assault, Sept. 27 — After terminating an employee, the manager of a work site in Avon Lake was assaulted. The fired employee told the manager he wanted to fight him and refused to leave the site. The manager tackled the man and held him down, to try and get him to cool off. The terminated employee responded by headbutting the manager, giving him an inch long gash on his forehead. The manager did not wish to pursue charges, but did want the incident documented.
Theft, Sept. 28 — Police received a complaint of a bicycle being stolen from the area of Inwood Blvd. and Redwood Blvd. There are no leads in the investigation.
Possession of Controlled Substance, Sept. 29 — Police stopped a car on Lake Road for having expired license plates. The driver was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The driver was cited for both problems.
