Flu Vaccine Clinics Near Avon, Avon Lake In February

This is one of the worst flu seasons in several years. There's still time to get vaccinated.

AVON, OH — The 2017-2018 flu season is one of the worst in several years, with three pediatric deaths already recorded and more than 8,000 hospitalizations since October. Luckily, there's still time to get vaccinated and there are several upcoming flu shot clinics in Lorain County.

On Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, the Lorain County Public Health building, 9880 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, hosts a vaccine clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be no vaccine shots on President's Day, Feb. 19.

On Wednesdays, the clinics rotate to various cities. Here's a list of upcoming clinics in different towns throughout Lorain County.

  • Feb. 14 — Wellington Town Hall, 115 Willard Memorial Sq., Willard. Clinic will run from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Feb. 21 — Avon VFW, 36950 Mills Rd., Avon. Clinic will be open at two times. First, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Feb. 28 — Lorain County Free Clinic, 5040 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Clinic will run from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
