Ford Announces $900 Million Investment In Avon Lake Plant
The company will bring a new product to the Ohio Assembly Plant in 2023.

AVON LAKE, OH — Ford has announced a $900 million investment in its Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake. The investment will include adding a new product to the facility in 2023.
City officials said Ford's announcement represents one of the largest job creation investments in city history. While the decision to invest in the Ohio Assembly plant was complicated, officials said, they believe their relationship with the company played an important factor.
Mayor Greg Zilka said the city's Job Growth Incentive Program, launched in 2012, has returned $115,000 in income tax revenue to Ford as recognition of its investment in Avon Lake.

“We are pleased that Ford, the state of Ohio, Team NEO, the UAW and the City of Avon Lake have built such a positive working relationship,” said Zilka. The city has always prided itself on the relationship that it has developed with Ford and with the members of the UAW that work at the plant."
News of Ford's investment broke in a new contract signed by Ford and UAW. UAW also revealed Ford will invest $150 million in the Cleveland Engine plant.
