Ford F-150 Stolen From Outside Avon Lake Food Mart
Police said the driver left their keys in the ignition and the engine running.

AVON LAKE, OH — A truck was stolen from outside the Avon Lake Food Mart this month. Police said the keys were left in the ignition and the truck was running when it was stolen.
The stolen truck was a brown, 2005 Ford F-150, with custom rims and numerous stickers on the rear window, police said. The truck was last seen heading south out of the parking lot of the food mart.

Found Property, August 11 — A Good Samaritan turned in a wallet he found in the Landings Way parking lot. Before police placed the wallet into evidence for safe keeping, they found a ziploc baggie with a white powdery substance inside. The bag was marked "#1," police said.
The wallet has since been placed into evidence, but detectives are investigating what the substance is. The baggie has been sent for testing.

Fraud, August 3 — Police were sent to KeyBank on Walker Road after a man tried to pass a counterfeit check at the branch. The man was gone before officers arrived, but information is being gathered on the suspect, police said.
Fraud, August 5 — Someone used a North Royalton man's debit card to withdraw $460 from an ATM in Avon Lake. The man canceled his card and disputed the charges through his bank.
Drug Investigation, August 8 — Officers got a warrant to arrest a 28-year-old Avon Lake man. The resident was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
