Former Avon High Football Star Bobby LaRosa Dead at Age 22

Bobby LaRosa, 22, a former  football star, who broke the school's all-time rushing record before graduating in 2007, died Aug. 15 at Lakewood Hospital.

He recently moved to Brook Park and was a student at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma.

LaRosa is survived by hs parents, James and Mary (nee Lengen); siblings, Thomas and Kristi; maternal grandparents, John and Alice Lengen; and paternal grandmother, Loretta LaRosa. His paternal grandfather, Paul LaRosa, is deceased.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at , 36363 Detroit Road.

Closing prayers will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home followed by 10 a.m. Mass at , 33601 Detroit Road.
