Former Lorain County Car Dealership Sued By State
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is suing a former used car dealership for not delivering titles to customers.
COLUMBIA STATION, OH — A former Lorain County used car dealership is being sued by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. The company is accused of not delivering vehicle titles to its customers.
“The sale isn’t done until the customer has keys in one hand and a title in the other,” Yost said. “This dealership’s bad practices left customers with clenched fists, pointing their fingers at the people responsible.”
The lawsuit, filed this week, accuses Angelo Guzzo and Sean Nightingale of violating Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act and Certificate of Motor Vehicle Titles Act. Guzzo and Nightingale's used car dealership, Rt. 82 Auto Gallery, was located on E. Royalton Road in Columbia Station.

Yost said his office received 33 complaints against the dealership in the past two years. Most of the complaints accused the company of not delivering vehicle titles. The Consumer Protection Section provided more than $70,000 in payments to impacted customers.
The lawsuit was filed in the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas and seeks reimbursement from Guzzo and Nightingale. Yost said he wants Guzzo and Nightingale barred from holding dealer or salesperson licenses in Ohio.
