'Freaky Friday' Musical Coming To Avon High

AVON, OH — Avon High School is getting freaky this month.

That's because "Freak Friday: A New Musical" will debut March 22. Performances of the show will will be held March 22, March 23 and March 24. Tickets will be available online and at the door. All tickets are non-refundable.

Here's a description of the show, from the Avon Schools: "When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter."

Pre-sale online tickets are $8 for seniors, students and children. Adult tickets are $10 pre-sale. Tickets at the door will be sold 45 minutes before show time. Day-of-performance tickets are $10 for seniors, students and children and $12 for adults.

All performances will be held at Avon High, 37545 Detroit Road. The show will start at 7 p.m. on March 22 and March 23. On March 24, the performance starts at 2 p.m.
