Free Concert at Avon Lake Library Features ‘The Unexpected Party'

UPDATE: The concert has moved indoors to the air-conditioned library.

Grab a lawnchair or blanket or grab a seat at the tonight for a free summer concert.

The Unexpected Party, a traditional folk band, featuring instruments like the hammered dulcimer, autoharp, button box, bowed psaltery and bodhran, will begin its performance at 7:30 p.m. tonight, July 19.

The group takes a step back in time for old-time music, with performer in old-time dress.

The concert is performed on the lawn behind the library. Some seating is available.
