Free Rides Home Offered To Lorain County Residents On St. Patty's

The Lorain County Prosecutor's Office is hoping to curb drunk driving with a free ride program on St. Patrick's Day.

AVON, OH — Lorain County residents will be able to get a free ride home on St. Patrick's Day thanks to the Lorain County Prosecutor's Office.

The service will go into effect at noon on March 16 and will expire at 3 a.m. on March 18. Rides within Lorain County, costing up to $60, will be covered.

Residents can call 800-461-9357 and mention either the Lorain County Prosecutors or Arrive Alive to get a free cab ride. Alternatively, Lyft app users can plug in the code "LCPOUT" and get their ride covered.

To be clear, the service only covers rides that begin and end within Lorain County.
