Garage Doors Damaged At Avon Lake Condos

AVON LAKE, OH — Two garage doors were damaged on Bounty Way in late July. Police said they are paying special attention to the area now.

The garage doors were attached to a pair of condos on the street. Police initially only knew about damage to one of the garage doors, but when officers arrived a neighbor came over and said they had seen similar damage to their property.

Both condo owners are in their 70s. Officers took photographs of the damage and told the residents they would be paying special attention to the area for the foreseeable future.

Notably, the damage to the condo garage doors is believed to have occurred around July 19. Less than a week later after police investigated those incidents, they were called to investigate a burglary at a Lake Road home belonging to basketball player Jose Calderon.

The garage door at the Lake Road home was open and a 2017 Jeep was missing, police said. A door leading into the home was also wide open when officers investigated. Police determined that someone had broken into the house and stolen the Jeep, along with a Chanel watch, a Prada handbag, an XBox gaming system, a computer, and Louis Vutton shoes.
