Why Go: The newest Lorain County MetroPark, and the first one in Avon, Miller Nature Preserve and Conservatory is 78 acres of wooded land featuring a conservatory and visitors center with a cafe, gift shop and kitchen for cooking demonstrations. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., after which visitors can tour the conservatory and visitors center. Admission is free to the to the visitors center, $2 for the conservatory. Moms get in free this weekend.
