Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Julia is a doer. If someone has a need, she is on it. Before COVID-19, Julia could always be counted on to help with providing a meal, sewing a dress, organizing people for a service project, collecting items for donation drive and more. With COVID-19 Julia has only ramped up her dedication to helping others. She has been making hundreds of masks, face shields and clasps, which she has donated to anyone in need. She is also collecting items for donation to CRS. There is always a bin (or three) near her door for people to drop off items she is collecting, and she will get it to someone in need. No matter what the need, Julia will find a way to help.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Her generosity and kindness to others is an incredible testament to her spirit. She is one reason why Avon Lake is such a great place to live.
