Heritage Avon Lake Brings Back the Dead!
The Bones Beneath the Stones Are telling Their Own Story

Heritage Avon Lake is celebrating its 200th Birthday with a party, and several “permanent residents” of Avon Lake’s cemetery have already RSVP’d. Captain John Duff (1828-1893) and company are coming to share their stories and some birthday cake. Formerly six feet under, these “residents” of the cemetery are going to “come alive” and make an appearance at the Folger Home. An optional outdoor tour will follow for those who want to dig deeper into the plots and learn where our subjects are buried. Birthday cake, along with other Halloween appropriate refreshments, will be served. The event will be October 18, 19 and 20 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), twice each evening. The first performance will be at 5:45 p.m., and the second will be at 7 p.m. Tickets for guaranteed seating can be purchased online at heritageavonlake.org, and will be sold at the door just prior to each performance, provided space is available.
