Hey, Avon Lake Do You Want To Build A Snowman?
The city is looking for the family that can build the best snowman. Will it be you and your family?

AVON LAKE, OH — The Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Department is holding a snowman building contest to determine the best snowman builders in the city. The winning family will receive a prize.
To be considered for the contest, builders will need to construct their snowman either in their own yard or at an Avon Lake park. Once the snowman is built, snap a photo and send it to the Parks and Recreation Department for consideration.
The contest is only open to Avon Lake residents. Submission must be received by Feb. 24, the Parks and Recreation Department said on its website.

There are no rules on what the snowman should look like — in fact, it doesn't even have to be a snowman. Build an animal, or a movie character, or anything that you like and can build well, the city said.
Here's what you'll need to submit to be considered: a photo of the snowman (or snow creature) in its natural habitat, a family name, an address to verify you're a resident, and the submitter must register on the Parks Department website.

Photos of the snow creation must include at least one builder for scale.
There are several ways to submit a creation. First, submissions, with the accompanying information, can be posted to the Parks Department Facebook page. Second, a submission can be emailed to nhaas@avonlake.org. Finally, submissions can be physically mailed to the following address: Recreation Department, City of Avon Lake, 150 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
Good luck and good building!
