“It’s an honor for Holy Trinity School to be recognized for our efforts in STEM education,”
Castrigano said. “As teachers, we strive to provide our students with opportunities to learn new
technology, math and engineering concepts to enhance our science curriculum both in and out
of the classroom.”
First established in 1985, the Governor’s Thomas Edison Awards
recognizes Ohio schools and teachers who stimulate scientific
student research and technological design, and extend
opportunities beyond traditional classroom activities. Students
must participate in one of more youth science opportunities
beyond the classroom, including State Science Day, The Ohio
