Home Explodes In Vermilion, Sheriff's Office Says
Police believe a car hit a gas meter, causing the explosion. The family inside the home were able to escape before it exploded.
VERMILION, OH — A home on East Darrow Road exploded Thursday morning after an SUV hit a gas meter, police said. The residents were able to escape the house before it went up in flames.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the gas meter has not been located, Fox 8 reported. Police believe the person took off running after the accident.
While the owners of the home were able to escape safely, their two dogs took off running after the explosion. The public is now being asked to keep an eye out for the puppies.
