AVON, OH — The holidays are over and 2021 has begun. Now is the right time to dispose of live Christmas trees.

In Avon, Republic Services will collect Christmas trees on Jan. 11. Trees should not be in a bag. Trees larger than 5 feet need to be cut in half, the city said.

The city will also collect Christmas trees as part of the normal chipping service.
