Hundreds Without Power In Avon After Traffic Accident
The city has shut down part of Schwartz Road because of downed telephone poles and live wires.

AVON, OH — Several telephone poles and live wires are down near Schwartz Road, between Nagel Road and Jaycox Road, in Avon. The city said in an email that some homes in the southern part of town are currently without power.
The city said there is no estimated time for when power will be restored. Drivers who use Schwartz Road as part of a commute should find an alternate route. However, FirstEnergy said on its website that power could be restored by 4 p.m.
FirstEnergy estimates that between 100 and 500 people could currently be without power. A crew has not yet been dispatched, according to the company's outages map.
