Intoxicated Man Hangs Out On Avon Lake Porch...At 3 A.M.

AVON LAKE, OH — An Avon Lake resident got an early morning surprise when they found a strange man on their front porch at 3 a.m. To no one's surprise, the resident called police immediately.

Officers rushed to the resident's Brookfield Drive home on September 22, but the man had already left the front porch. The resident told police the man had stumbled off.

Police searched the surrounding neighborhood for the man, and someone matching his description was seen struggling to stand on the sidewalk near St. Joseph Church. The suspect was the same man that had been seen on the resident's porch, police said.

The 43-year-old Sheffield Lake man was charged with disorderly conduct intoxication by police. He was eventually released to a family member, when police took him to his home in Sheffield Lake.
