Intoxicated Man Punches Cars, Screams In Avon Lake Parking Lot

AVON LAKE, OH — Employees at Finn Bella Salon saw a man stumbling through their parking lot, looking intoxicated. As police were on the way to the scene, the man began screaming and then punched a car in the lot.

Officers arrived and cited the man for disorderly conduct intoxication. He's set to appear at the Avon Lake Municipal Court.

Here are some of the other notable incidents from recent weeks in Avon Lake.

Animal Complaint, September 5 — An Avon Lake resident was told to stop feeding wild animals. Neighbors complained that resident had been placing peanuts at various points throughout their yard, attracting animals.

Traffic Complaint, September 5 — Police stopped a car on Lear Road for driving with one of its headlights out. The driver had a non-compliance license suspension and was cited.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, September 6 — A car was stopped and the driver was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft, September 7 — Someone stole a kid's bicycle when it was parked at the Avon Lake football stadium.

Drug Investigation, September 9 — An odor of marijuana caught officers noses after they stopped a car for speeding. The driver had a small bag of weed and gave it to police. A larger bag of marijuana was found under the passenger seat of the car. Both bags were taken by officers.
