Jaycox Road Construction Runs Through Saturday In Avon

AVON, OH — The summer of construction continues in Avon this week. Jaycox Road will be undergoing pavement repairs on Friday and Saturday, but traffic should be maintained in the area, the city said on its website.

The pavement repairs will take place on Jaycox between Detroit Road and Schwartz Road. Drivers should adjust their routes accordingly, the city said.

Jaycox will undergo more construction next week. Crews will install the base layer of asphalt on the street on Wednesday, August 8.

Worried about morning and afternoon commutes to work? Here are the projects on I-90 that could put a cramp in Avon commuters drive, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

• On Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7, crew will close lanes on I-90 east and/or I-90 west over the Rocky River from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to do deck sealing
• On Wednesday, August 8, through Friday, August 10, crews will close lanes on I-90 east and west, between W. 41st St. and Fulton Rd., from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to do deck sealing.
