Let's begin locally

Americans are a trusting people. Maybe it started young. Parents cared for their children, teachers would teach and priests prayed to God with us. Our leaders, we assumed, governed and lead. We had it made. It was safe to think that everyone was doing his job to the best of his ability. We relied on the right thing to happen and went on with our day.

Not now. Parents pimp out their children, sell them, rape and murder their own flesh and blood.Teachers and priests, too, are often a sad story beyond one’s expectations. What used to be sacred and “just fine” needs our scrutiny. Nothing must be assumed. Attention needs to be paid.

Americans must look at their local government and schools. Are each producing a better product? Are we taxpayers getting our money’s worth?

As for our leaders, where are they?

It’s time for a revolution. Let it begin locally. It cannot start in the White House because the corruption, lies and waste is so rampant that it’s chaos without leadership.

It’s said that one rotten apple spoils the barrel, but in Washington it appears it’s the reverse. Where is the honest man who follows the US Constitution and looks out for America? It is hard to find him, or her as there’s been so much chaos in government, and no one is going to jail.
