Loaded Gun Brought To Lorain High School: Reports

An 18-year-old allegedly brought a handgun to the school last week. Police said they also found knives in the possession of other students.

LORAIN, OH — An 18-year-old student allegedly brought a loaded gun to Lorain High School on Thursday. Police also found two knives on other students, according to reports.

Codsh’e Montil Berger Jr. told police he was carrying the gun to protect himself, Fox 8 reported. However, the teenager also said he did not fear for his life in school and had no intention of using the gun, unless he was shot at.

The gun was discovered after a school resource officer overheard a conversation that indicated Berger had a gun. The officer called Lorain Police who came to the school and located the weapon. The handgun had three bullets in its magazine.
