Loose Dog Bites Neighbor: Avon Lake Police Blotter

Animal complaint, Oct. 26 — An Avon Lake man was bitten by his neighbor's dog. The fire department offered to give the man medical treatment, but he refused. The dog's owner was cited for dog-at-large.

Fraud, Oct. 26 — Someone used an Avon Lake resident's debit card without permission. The resident's bank is working to solve the fraud.

Traffic complaint, Oct. 30 — Police stopped a car on Miller Road. The vehicle had the wrong license plates and the owner was cited for failing to transfer his plates.

Unauthorized use, Nov. 1 — A woman's ex-boyfriend, while moving out, took two cars and the registration paperwork.

Traffic complaint, Nov. 4 — A car was stopped on Moore Road because it did not have lighted license plates. The vehicle ignored the flashing lights and continued to Miller Road before stopping. The driver was cited for failure to comply, failure to reinstate, display of plates and no lighted plates.
