Lorain Councilman Arrested On Monday: Report

LORAIN, OH — Lorain Ward 6 Councilman Angel Arroyo was arrested early Monday morning on domestic violence and resisting arrest charges.

Few details have been released pertaining to Arroyo's arrest. Lorain County Sheriff's Office records said he was booked into county jail at 5:12 a.m. Monday.

Arroyo was last arrested in December 2017, when he was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing official business. After that incident, Arroyo told WKYC his plan was: "Just building a bridge between myself, my family and the community for anyone I let down. Second, I will go to meetings and get the help so I won't put myself in this situation ever again."

Lorain Police have not yet responded to Patch's request for additional information on the councilman's Monday arrest. Patch will update this story when more information is provided.
