Man Dies After Fist Fight In Lorain County

CARLISLE TOWNSHIP, OH — A man died after a fist fight in Carlisle Township on Friday night, according to law enforcement.

At 11:30 p.m., a man called the Lorain County Sheriff's office and said he had been in a fight with another man. He told the sheriffs that both men were badly beaten and covered in blood, News 5 reported.

When law enforcement arrived, the caller was standing in the street while another man was unconscious nearby. EMS gave the unconscious man first aid, but he was declared dead on the scene.

The caller was taken to University Hospitals in Elyria, where he was treated for his injuries. After he was released, he was taken into custody by the sheriffs, Cleveland 19 reported.
