Man Dies of Overdose at Avon Lake Apartments: Police Blotter
Police discovered the man in his apartment and attempted some life-saving tactics, to no avail.

AVON LAKE, OH - Police discovered a man dead from apparent overdose in his Somerset Apartment home on Oct. 28. It was the darkest police encounter of the past week.
Breaking and Entering, Oct. 25 - A single axle carry-on trailer was stolen from a man's house on Walker Road. The trailer was valued at $1,269.
Found Property, Oct. 26 - An officer was dispatched to the area of Belmar Blvd. and Crestmont Cir. because of an abandoned bike. The officer located a boys green and black Huffy Kolo. The bike is a 26in, 18 speed bike with a bar style light on the rear bar. Serial number is AH16C079641. The bike was brought on station and placed in the impound lot for safe keeping after officers were unable to locate an owner.

Warrant Served, Oct. 27 - After running a check on a minivan travelling on Lake Road, officers discovered the registration had expired. When they stopped the van, the driver told police he did not have a driver's license. Officers confirmed that the man has never owned a driver's license, but did have an arrest warrant out and took him in and towed the car.
Overdose, Oct. 29 - An Avon Lake man was found dead in his apartment by police officers. The man had suffered an apparent overdose. Officers attempted CPR and administered Narcan but to no avail. When paramedics arrived on scene, they pronounced the man dead.

Theft, Oct. 28 - A leaf blower was stolen from a man's unlocked garage.
