Man Running in Place in the Middle of the Street Moved by Police: Avon Lake Police Blotter
The man was running in place on Avon Belden Rd when officers encountered him. He was transported to St. John West Shore Hospital.

AVON LAKE, OH - Here are this week's police blotter items:
Psychiatric Situation, Sept. 22 - Jeffrey Thompson, a 34-year-old Michigan man, was running in place on Avon Belden Rd. When police encountered him, he appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He was transported to St. John West Shore Hospital.
Open Container, Sept. 19 - Patrons at Tailgaters Sports Bar complained that an unwanted person was sitting outside of the restaurant and soliciting money and food from patrons. When police arrived, Tambra Schmotzer, 55 of Avon Lake, was holding an open container of alcohol. She was cited and will appear in Avon Lake Municipal Court.

OVI, Sept. 17 - A caller reported that a car had hit a guardrail and then nearly hit another car. Officers found the reported vehicle on Avon Belden Rd. and initiated a traffic stop. Kimberly Martin, 39 of Sheffield Village, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Suspicious Activity, Sept. 14 - An Avon Lake woman found a handwritten letter on her front door. The letter was from an unknown male and said the he would like to get to know the woman better and possibly take her on a date. Police located the author of the letter and determined the whole thing had been a misunderstanding. He was advised not to contact the woman.

Vandalism, Sept. 13 - Someone cut the locks on several storage trailers at 763 Avon Belden Rd. Nothing was stolen from the trailers.
Disorderly Conduct, Sept. Sept. 11 - Rudolph Vinovich, 53 of Avon Lake, was seen riding his bicycle down Lake Rd. He repeatedly fell off the bike and drove in an erratic manner. Police stopped him, determined he was intoxicated, and released him into the custody of a sober person.
