Mason was a former chef at Sammy's in Cleveland and the Glass Garden in Avon.
Matthew Scott Mason, 46, of Avon Lake, formerly of Avon, an assembler for Ford Motor Co.’s Ohio Assembly Plant and a former chef for Aqua Marine in Avon Lake, Glass Garden in Avon and Sammy’s in Cleveland, died Aug. 20.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle (nee Bersiko); sons Matthew J. and Nicholas; stepson, Aaron J. Maxwell; and siblings, R. Brian, Terrence J., Karen V. Williams and Debbie L. Wetzel.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at , 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake.

A graveside service will take place Wednesday, Aug. 24, at a time to be announced at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32789 Detroit Rd., Avon.
