More Than 250 People Without Power In Avon
The FirstEnergy company says power won't be restored to the majority of customers until 1 a.m.
AVON, OH — More than 250 people are without power in Avon on Sunday night, the FirstEnergy company reports. An additional 80 people are without power in Avon Lake.
According to the company, power may not be restored to the majority of impacted customers until 1 a.m. on Monday morning. FirstEnergy said tree damage is responsible for the outages.
The majority of Avon outages are centered near Route 611, French Creek and Northgate Park. The Avon Lake outages are near Redwood Boulevard and Crestwood Drive, with another pocket of outages on Electric Boulevard and Fairfield Road.

All of the outages are the result of tree damage and crews have been dispatched to the source of the outages. Power should be restored to the majority of Lorain County residents by 1 a.m.
After temperatures spiked into the high 80s on Sunday, storms brewed across Northeast Ohio. Scattered thunderstorms could continue, or restart, in the early morning hours on Monday.
