More Than 90 FirstEnergy Customers Without Power In Avon

FirstEnergy said at least 92 customers were in the dark on Tuesday morning.

AVON, OH — At least 92 FirstEnergy customers are without power on Tuesday morning. The outages are part of scheduled maintenance in the area, FirstEnergy said.

The outages are concentrated around two intersections on Chester Road — Ledgewood Lane and Hollow Wood Lane. FirstEnergy said customers should expect power to be restored by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Crews have not yet been dispatched to the area, according to the company. Luckily, overcast skies have not meant unseasonably cold temperatures — a real possibility in Northeast Ohio.

Temperatures are expected to hang between the mid-40s and mid-50s throughout Tuesday. There is a slight chance of rain, about 20 percent, though precipitation is unlikely before Tuesday evening. Power should be fully restored before raindrops start to fall in earnest.

FirstEnergy has been conducting scheduled maintenance on systems throughout Avon and Avon Lake since mid-April. All of the work is weather dependent.
