Mr. Excavator Adds Crews, Road Remains Shut

Work continues on closed area. Should be complete by Oct. 25

Second Crew Starts on Belmar, Monday, Oct. 10

“Mr. Excavator” will be adding a second crew starting at the intersection of Electric Boulevard and working south on Belmar to Redwood Boulevard. More than 1,200 feet of new water main have been installed in the southerly section between Canterbury and Redwood.

The high-strength PVC pipe has the properties to resist pressure from soil corrosion, temperature fluctuations, and stress from heavy traffic, over time.

Belmar residents will be notified forty-eight hours ahead of schedule where and when crews will be working. Local access and school bus traffic will be maintained. Emergency access and doctor’s visits will be a priority. All motorists are advised to drive with caution and not to park on tree lawns within work areas.

Inwood-Dellwood-Bellaire Remains Closed Through Oct. 25

Utiliton Corp. crews installed the Inwood section of the three-way sanitary sewer connection at Redwood Blvd. The Delwood and Bellaire sections and the four-port manhole for connecting the three sanitary sewers at Redwood Blvd. should be installed within the next two weeks. Inwood, Dellwood and Bellaire will remain closed thru Oct. 25. The detour route for residential, school bus, and emergency traffic will be Redwood Boulevard to Moorewood Avenue, and south to Durrell Avenue.
