
Nancy Jane Abram (Nelson), 65 ofΒ AvonΒ LakeΒ passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 19, 2013.Β
NancyΒ was born isΒ LakewoodΒ and lived inΒ AvonΒ Lake since 1951.
Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Saint Augustine Academy, Lakewood and went on the earn a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned a Masters Degree from Mount Saint Joseph College in Cincinnati.

She worked as an elementary and junior high teacher atΒ HolyΒ TrinityΒ School, Avon, The Lorian City School Diistrict andΒ St.Β MaryΒ School,Β Avon.Β NancyΒ was a published author, researching and writing a book,Β AvonΒ Lake: A Journey in Time, which was the official history ofΒ AvonΒ Lake. She also wrote numerous short stories and plays which were performed by her students during the school year.Β
She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and a Parish School of Religion Instructor; a member of the Avon Lake Historical Society and their official historian and was a member of the Avon Lake Toastmasters.

NancyΒ is survived by her husband Anthony L. whom she married on Aug. 22, 1975; they were childhood sweethearts. She is also survived by a sonΒ Joesph R. Abram ofΒ AvonΒ LakeΒ and daughter Juliet H. Abram ofΒ North Olmsted.Β
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Jacob and Madeline and brother Brian Nelson. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Helen (nee Wallace) Nelson.
A private memorial service was held at Holy Spirit Church,Β AvonΒ LakeΒ with interment atΒ Saint JosephΒ CemeteryΒ inΒ Avon.Β Β
The Family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimerβs Association. Β
