Nancy Rae Butler, 78, Retired from Avon Lake Schools' Business office

Nancy Rae Butler (nee Keller), 78, a 1950  graduate, who retired from the  after 30 years in its business office, died July 5.

She is survived by her children, Richard J., Carlyn R. Gordon and Patricia Meiners; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and siblings, Patricia Haders, Arthur Keller and Sharon Schmitz. Her husband of 45 years, Richard J., a former Avon Lake fire chief, died in 1998.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon.

Prayer service will take place at 9:15 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the funeral home, followed by 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at , 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
